Dragon Emerging Head and Tail- Two Book Nook
This is the original, yet updated, version of the Dragon Emerging Book Nook!
What’s New in This Update:
-
12mm glass eye slots added-Highly requested and now included, matching the other Dragon Emerging book nooks.
-
Reworked rear horns- Adjusted to significantly reduce supports and lower failure rates.
-
Hand combined with the head- No more gluing the hand in place. One less step and a stronger final print.
-
Easier multicolor printing- All horns are separated as individual objects, making it simple to point-and-click color them in Bambu Studio.
-
Standardized dimensions- The box now matches the same size as the other Dragon Emerging book nooks in my catalog for a consistent shelf look.
Print Settings I Used-
Head (multicolor, 3 colors, Bambu Lab A1):
-
0.20 layer height
-
2 walls
-
5% gyroid infill
-
Auto tree supports enabled
-
100% scale
-
658g filament
-
1 day 18 hours on a Bambu Lab A1
Print time and filament usage will be significantly lower if you print in fewer colors or single color.
Tail (2 colors):
-
449g filament
-
1 day 7 hours
Book Nook Box (recommended):
-
3 walls (highly recommended to reduce the visible line where solid geometry meets thin walls)
-
180g filament
-
4 hours print time
Full-Scale Dimensions
Head: 158 × 192 × 148 mm
Tail: 169 × 187 × 183 mm
Dimensions will change proportionally if you scale the model.
As always, feel free to scale, recolor, or customize it to fit your setup!
Happy printing, Christian, @CraftyKid3D
